WHY a cover?
For those of you who suffer from Obstructive Sleep Apnea a ZIPPIT CPAP
Hose Cover can help in several different ways.
1: Rainout.
Many people use the humidifier option on their CPAP so they don't dry out their sinus
passages. When the moistened, heated air flows down through the hose it will cool
and the water will condensate in the bottom of the hose. After a while you will build up
enough that the air is gurgling through the hose. If by chance you do not let the hose
drop and the CPAP is above your head the water will flow right into your mask.
With a good CPAP cover the air stays warmer and the water does not tend to
condensate as much allowing a good night's sleep and no dry throat. Ours is made of
Polar Fleece, this helps keep the hose warm, kind of like a blanket on your hose.
2: Hose is constantly dropping between the CPAP and the bed pulling on your mask.
